Rob J began making music for God in 2007 by accidently watching a television ad about a gospel music artist by the name of Canton Jones after watching a preaching sermon by pastor Creflo Dollar of World Changers Church International. He then knew that making music for the Lord is what he should be doing. "I never knew that you could have this kind of fly style and be crunk and have your beats knock while representing Jesus Christ like that. I should be using my talents to help make the gospel more relatable to unsaved people in the hip hop generation that don't get church or that are intimidated by it you know what I'm saying". After his realization his music has gone to an entirely higher level.

Rob J is a member of the Y.E.K. (Youth Entrepreneurs of Kansas) association. Rob J also attended college while he was still a senior in high school. Rob J's passion for striving for the best gives him confidence in reaching his goal.

Being athletic, Rob J has won more than 60 medals and trophies, including an AAU National State title played at the Wide World of Sports in Orlando, Florida and a High School League Cross Country medal. Rob J is one of the Kansas City, Kansas Piper Cream Of The Crop Basketball Elite Eight, awarded in 2005. As a two year starting point guard for the F.L. Schlagle High School Stallions, he averaged double-doubles a game including averaging 15 to 20 points or more. He Then earned the distinguished Metro Sports High School Player of the Game award.
